USSH VNU-HCM collaborated with Pukyong National University

Prof. Dr. Vo Van Sen - USSH President stated the approval and support for Department of International Cooperation to foster the progress of cooperative programs between USSH VNU-HCM and Pukyong National University (PKNU), South Korea.

At the meeting with Institute for Global and Area Studies (PKNU), the two institutionsagreed on many collaborative training and research programs.


Prof. Dr. Hae Jo Chung - Pukyong National University stated “Many students from Pukyong National University desire to study at USSH VNU-HCM. Therefore, I’m looking forward to specific cooperative agendas, including student exchanges, research programs and degree programs in the future”. Prof. Dr. Hae Jo Chung proposed one to 2 pilot cooperative training programs, in which the faculties directly exchange and students can learn languages. He also longs to broaden the relationship with Faculty of Korean Studies, USSH VNU-HCM.


On behalf of USSH, Prof. Dr. Vo Van Sen agreed upon PKNU’s proposals to adopt either 2+2 or 3+1 programs, and simultaneously highlighted the feasibilty to mutual recognized credits in order to limit the studying discontinuation of exchanged students.

At the meeting, Both sides also agreed on research collaboration. In particular, PKNU will consider USSH’s recommendation on the research topics, which currently covers economic relations between South Korea and Vietnam’s Southern key economic area. Topic registration and workshop will be organized before implementing researches.
